We take great pride in curating a list of events each month. When cultivating our list of “Amsterdam Favorites for the Month” we are always on the lookout for that off the beaten track, which in turn opens up a different and inspirational side of Amsterdam to you.

Therefore we connect you to the city and help shape your experience.

The festival season is still going strong and even more is coming. More artful and food related events will take place throughout Amsterdam. This month, we even have a  surprise for our guests. Read more to find out!

Sounds in the Harbor

Enjoy a string of open air concerts on a unique location. The stage is built along side an old shipping yard. The concert grounds open before the concerts start so that you can enjoy a delicious meal prior to the show.

Cultural celebrations

 Kwaku Summer Festival is one of the largest events in Amsterdam and one of the largest multicultural festivals in the Netherlands, attracting around 300,000 visitors each year.

The festival brings cultures together and provides a colourful ensemble of performances, dance, film, music and of course, what it all started, football!

Party in the canals

The magnificent Grachtenfestival (Canal Festival), will not only be held around Amsterdam’s canals but also at various locations throughout Amsterdam.

This is one of the cultural highlights of the Amsterdam summer. Discover new talent and enjoy the ten-day festival of classical music and jazz at numerous beautiful locations.

Theater without walls

The parade is a unique collection of performances travelling around the country. Whether you’re a die-hard theatre aficionado or just along for the ride, you’ll find it here no matter what your pleasure is. Once on the festival terrain, you’ll find yourself enticed by artists giving outdoor performances in full regalia.

The festival offers visitors a variety of short and full-length performances, as well as performances in open-air and secret locations.

There’s always something new and surprising to look out for!

Bring on the juice

International artists keep it fresh alongside the best of the Dutch and local electronic, rap and soul scenes when Appelsap brings the flava to Flevopark, the otherwise quiet and peaceful park in Amsterdam.

Appelsap originally started as jam session between upcoming artists and is now a very popular festival in Amsterdam.

Outdoor Cinema

Every summer the Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam presents a unique selection of unreleased independent arthouse cinema, documentary, animation and shorts, attracting both film enthusiasts and professionals.

The beautiful former harbour is the backdrop to open air screenings.

Get swept away by the culinary world of Latin America. Latin Food Festival will take you on a journey throughout the kitchens of Mexico, Brazil, Caribbean and so many more. Not only will you taste all the different cuisines, you will also hear Latin America.

Pop up rooftop concerts

 The roof of NEMO Science Museum is open daily until 9 p.m with live music. Besides various Amsterdam brewers will come to present their beers in the form of a beer tasting.

Getting to the roof is very easy, just take the stairs from the street or via the elevator in the entrance hall.

Let’s go Dutch

 The Uitmarkt is a vibrant three-day celebration of the Netherlands’ cultural scene! It is the largest festival in the country and the official launch of the new cultural season, showcasing the very best in music, art, theatre, dance, opera, literature and cabaret performances.

This is the local party you don’t want to miss during your time in Amsterdam!

Party at the Amstel

Enjoy a drink or two at the Somerlust party, our annual neighborhood party. With plenty of room to dance, you can swing the night away with some lovely soul and jazz music. Taste all the flavors of the special soul menu. A range of diverse dishes will be served during the evening. Somerlust will take place at the beautiful location Aan de Amstel. While enjoying the view, let yourself be entertained by many performers. This night is full of entertainment.
