June sees some of this summer’s most exciting and fun filled events. From music festivals to food festivals this is sure to be a memorable month.

Food Lovers Unite!

Every year Taste of Amsterdam takes over the Amstelpark for three days full of food, drinks and entertainment. The park turns into a mecca for lovers of good food, with tastings, masterclasses, music and a food market.

Signature dishes galore from the city’s greatest restaurants, all for the taking.

The world performing.

The Holland Festival is a mix of performing arts such as theater, music, dance, and opera. International ensembles, groups and troupes will amaze and inspire.

This Festival has always been a leader in supporting modern and non-classical contemporary music and new art forms in the world of music theater, ever since its inception over 70 years ago.

Vondelpark Open Air Theatre

Summer + Open Air + Talent = Vondelpark Open Air Theatre.

In the heart of the Vondelpark, big names, local artists and young talent, will perform every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. From May until September this is a recommended outing for young & old.

Art in the Canal Garden

Behind the stately facades of the canal houses you will find the best kept secrets of Amsterdam: large, beautifully landscaped gardens. During the third weekend in June, both Amsterdam residents and people from outside the city will be surprised by hidden gardens in the bustling and densely populated center, oases of peace and greenery just a few meters away from the crowds.

The theme for this year is “Art in the Canal Garden”.

Sun gazing while you dance!

Celebrating the sun! On Whit Sunday you can dance on the banks of a tropical NDSM. A radiant holiday with a free Monday on the horizon. Apply for a butter-yellow edition of De Zon!

Let the Sun’s Spirit descent onto your face. Boost your melatonin and serotonin levels, but make sure to bring your sun glasses and sun blocker.

For the third time Ruigmarkt joins forces with Ruigoord’s yearly Vurige Tongen festival.
On top of two days hippie shopping, wonderful food, spirituality and more you can indulge in two days of poetry, art and music.

Red Light Jazz Festival

What more do you want than jazz in the old town of Amsterdam. This festival highlights the deep routed jazz seen within one of Amsterdams most famous neighbourhoods. Be sure to get down and expect some very exciting artists who will be playing at the many venues dotted around the Wallen.

There is more to the Red Light District than just staring at windows!

Flora’s Finest

Tulip season may officially be over but that doesn’t stop the Netherlands showcasing other beautiful flowers grown here. Aalsmeer flower festival takes place at the Flower Art museum. This historical town in itself is a great day out with it’s town centre windmills and flower markets.

5 year Anniversary Party at De Ceuvel

De Ceuvel, one of our favourite sustainable initiatives in the city is celebrating it’s 5th Birthday. And we are all invited. Be ready to be served some exquisite vegan dishes, whilst listening to an assortment of live music.

Wash everything away with a cold local beer on one of the floating islands.

Let’s bring the French culture to Amsterdam for a few days!

This festival offers a lot of the famous Champagne houses, but also has space for the small boutique winemakers, Champagnoise method and biodynamic sparkling wines.
